WORKPERMITS IN DENMARK AND GERMANY

Open work permit visa for Denmark .

Overview: -

The Danish government has embarked on a plan to make the most of globalization - and Indian qualified workers stand to gain a lot from that.

"We are looking at getting the maximum benefit out of globalization and for that we have to do something about our changing demographics. We now have fewer people in the working age group and more people in the retired segment. As this trend will continue in the years to come, we now need to find part of our workforce abroad," says Ole Lonsmann Poulsen, Ambassador of Denmark in India .

About the Green Card

Under the scheme, non-European Union skilled migrants are allowed to come to Denmark under a renewable 3 years permit for the purpose of finding work. The Danish green card is quite different from the US green card, which grants permanent residence. Under this scheme you get to enter Denmark & live there. When you find a job, you are granted a permit to work in Denmark .
There are excellent opportunities in Denmark as Danish companies are facing shortages in getting qualified employees. This programme is a new way of allowing qualified individuals to come in and work in Denmark . Foreigners with special qualifications obtaining employment in areas with the shortage of Danish labour have easy access to residents and work permits in Denmark . Scheme has been expanded this year to allow many more qualified Indian workers to apply.

Basic Features

  • Allows you to travel to Denmark and work initially for three years.
  • This Visa may then be extended for another four years. The extension is on the basis of being able to support yourself without recourse to public funds and work experience gained.
  • At the end of 7 years in Denmark , you may apply for indefinite leave to remain / Citizenship.
  • Process time: 20-60 days.
  • Allows you to take your immediate family members & they too can work / study in Denmark

Why migrate to Denmark ?

Denmark 's market economy features efficient markets, above average European living standards and high amount of free trade. Denmark has a GDP per capita higher than that of most European countries and 15-20 per cent higher than that of the United States . Denmark , with a free market capitalist economy, and a large welfare state, ranks according to one measure as having the world's highest level of income equality. From 2006 to 2008, surveys ranked Denmark as "the happiest place in the world," based on standards of health, welfare, and education.
The 2008 Global Peace Index survey ranks Denmark as the second most peaceful country in the world, after Iceland . Denmark was also ranked as the least corrupt country in the world in the 2008 Corruption Perceptions Index, sharing a top position with Sweden and New Zealand . In 2008, the capital and largest city, Copenhagen , was ranked the most livable city in the world by Monocle magazine.
About 9% of the populations have foreign citizenship. A large portion of the foreign citizens are of Scandinavian ancestry, while the rest are of a variety of nationalities. Denmark 's population (as at 1 January 2008) was 5.4 million. Danish is the official language and is spoken throughout the country. English and German are the most widely spoken foreign languages.
Denmark has a GDP per capita higher than that of most European countries, and 15-20% higher than that of the United States .Denmark 's national currency, the krone (plural: kroner), is de facto linked to the Euro. The exchange rate is very steady at approx. Rs.8.68 per krone.

TOP 9 UNIVERSITIES IN GERMANY AND COURSES

TU9 Universities

· RWTH Aachen

· TU Berlin

· TU Braunschweig

· TU Darmstadt

· TU Dresden

· Leibniz Universität Hannover

· Universität Karlsruhe (TH)

· TU München

· Universität Stuttgart

In order to choose a course of studies that is appropriate for you, it is important that you know your interests and especially your strengths.
In order to recognize your own strengths (and with this, also your weaknesses), you can use an advising test that was developed at the RWTH Aachen. You can explore yourself and receive a detailed analysis of your results in different sections with topics relevant to particular courses of study, such as mathematics and logic, but also about interests and motivation.

Start the test at www.self-assessment.tu9.de. Check the site every now and then, as these will be supplemented by new advising methods.

Narrow down the number of possible subjects.

The possible courses of study at TU9 universities are diverse. The greatest strength: the TU9 academic institutions offer courses of study in all engineering disciplines. In the first semesters, the engineering students acquire basic knowledge in mathematics and the natural sciences as well as methodic competence. In later semesters, they use this knowledge in the framework of academic papers and theses, often in the context of research and development projects. Such projects are often interdisciplinary so that the student has contact with different subject areas. These are all qualifications for engineers who should perform at the top of their fields.

You can find information about careers in engineering under http://www.think-ing.de/.

Weigh all of the advantages and disadvantages of a particular course of studies.
You can receive more information about the courses of study under http://www.studienwahl.de/ or http://www.hochschulkompass.de/. The internet site http://www.campus-germany.de/ informs about the day-to-day life of international students in Germany. Don’t forget to ask for advice from the academic counselor at your school and from former students who study in Germany.

How many subjects does one study in the different courses of study?
In “Diplom” courses of study as well as engineering, natural science and economics Bachelor and Master courses of study (Bachelor / Master of Science), one studies only one subject.

“Magister” courses of study as well as liberal arts, language and social science Bachelor and Master courses of study (Bachelor / Master of Arts) are combination courses of study in which one usually studies two or three subjects.

The number of subjects varies in courses of study that finish with the State Exam. Students who are preparing for a career as a Gymnasium teacher choose 2 or 3 subjects; future attorneys, food chemists and doctors choose one subject.

The engineering course of study and career path

Engineers shape our world…
We live in a highly technical world; without the technical knowledge of engineers, there would be no washing machines, microwaves, or CD players. Engineers develop products for people that make our daily life more comfortable, safer and more efficient.

The TU9 academic institutions offer a wide course of study in the fields of engineering and the natural sciences as well as an excellent education. With this education, you will have the best career prospects after graduation. The job placements, especially for engineers, are varied. You can work in development, production, service and sales or also in higher management of a company. Many graduates make themselves self-employeed and start their own businesses.

Mathematics, Natural Sciences, or Engineering? Which courses of study are there? What will you study?
In the fields of engineering, knowledge from the natural sciences is put into practice, usually to develop and construct industrially used and created products. Basic subjects for engineering fields of study are mathematics and physics; in some, chemistry and biology are also of big importance. Especially at the beginning of an engineering course of studies, these subjects represent a fundamental part of the education.

The classical engineering disciplines are Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Electrical Engineering.

The natural sciences constitute the foundation for engineering fields. They explore living and inanimate nature. The classical subjects in the natural sciences are physics, chemistry and biology. Today, other fields such as astronomy, geology or anthropology are also considered natural science subjects.

The goal of the natural sciences is to test broad hypotheses through systematically conducted experiments. In doing so, knowledge is gained that can be applied in practice-oriented fields like medicine, agriculture or industry.

Mathematics calculates and experiments with models. It involves applied research as well as fundamental research. For the natural sciences, technical fields and economics, as well as even in art, mathematics delivers important basic information.
Computer science was born of mathematics. It deals with the systematic processing of information with the help of modern computer technology.

In practice, there are no clear dividing lines between the individual disciplines.
Because of this, many courses of study are interdisciplinary. The subject of mechatronics, for example, builds on the foundations of electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and computer science. Industrial engineering and business computing combine engineering and technical knowledge with business content. From trained biotechnologists, knowledge is expected in the natural sciences (biology, biochemistry) and in engineering fields as well as attention to economic aspects.

Students of TU9 academic institutions are well prepared for their professional life. During their course of study, they are not only conveyed knowledge in their field, but also flexibility, communication skills, problem-solving skills, foreign language abilities and team skills. These soft skills are very important in their future work. Also, internships and study abroad often belong to a course of studies. A high self-initiative and personal responsibility are prerequisites for a course of studies in Germany.

Courses and Other Details

Here I am giving some brief information

Advantages:

1.Free Education (Nothing to pay to the University). In Commonwealth
nations like UK, Australia, and Canada Universities are charging 7 to
10 Lakhs from International students. But European nations (mentioned
above) Universities are investing 5 to 7 Lakhs on International
Students.

2.Job Opportunities. EU nations desperately in need of 20 Lakhs man
power. Due to lack of man power and negative population rate these
countries started free education concept.

3.Shcengien Visa (By this Visa one can allowed to travel or work in 14
nations of European Union). All EU nations are developed, rich,
technically advanced and tourist countries. These countries are having
common currency of Euro.

4.Visa. In Commonwealth nations getting admission is very easy but
getting visa is very difficult. In EU nations getting admission is
difficult but getting visa is very easy because these embassies don't
bother about your property details. No one got rejection for these
countries (Except Germany) to till date. Unfortunately if you get
rejected also you don't get any rejection stamp in your passport.

5.Working Opportunities while studying. These countries are allowing
international students to work 20 hours per week. Germany is providing
an extra work facility of 90 full days in a year (90 days in year+20
hours per week).
